Datumize Tutorials are useful resource to learn about Datumize products by doing. Step by step tutorials will guide you through real world examples.

What is Datumize Sandbox

You must have access to Datumize Zentral to use the Datumize Sandbox.

A sandbox as defined at Wikipedia is "a testing environment that isolates untested code changes and outright experimentation from the production environment or repository, in the context of software development including Web development and revision control."  The Datumize Sandbox is a resource provided herein to learn how to use Datumize products in a controlled environment. It is not intended for production usage, although it is very handy for self-learning, fast prototyping and delivering proofs of concept based on real or almost-real data.

Datumize Sandbox and Tutorials

Datumize Sandbox  is provided for educational purposes only. Do not use the sandbox in production environments and make sure you understand the license restrictions that apply to each of our products.

The main purpose of the Datumize Sandbox is to provide you with an environment similar to a real-world use case where you can experiment with Datumize products. To accomplish this goal, we have created a number of useful tutorials that provide step-by-step guidelines and will introduce Datumize products and functionalities in increasing complexity, from the simplest Hello World use case to more advanced dark data capture scenarios.

Once you get used to the Datumize Sandbox, you will also find it suitable to support your demo projects - although that's an advanced usage of the images that compose the Datumize Sandbox.

We recommend that you go in order through the provided tutorials.

Advanced Datumize Sandbox usage

We recommend to use Datumize Sandbox images for educational/demo usage only.

For some users, understanding our technology within the context of a container is important. Please contact customersuccess@datumize.com  should you wish to use Docker on these tutorials, for more assistance. With the base container that is enabled to run any Datumize product, you will also have a set of containers ready-to-go with pre-installed handy data sources and software, such as a database or visualization to help both learn, and to prototype projects.

Feel free to experiment and let us know what you think at Contact Datumize.
